Key Responsibilities

  • Assign basic medical codes using ICD and CPT for diagnosis and procedure documentation

  • Accurately enter patient data and coded information into electronic health records (EHR)

  • Work with senior coders and compliance officers to ensure accurate documentation

  • Maintain confidentiality and security of patient records at all times

  • Review medical documents for completeness and consistency
