Job Summary

Progressive Technology is looking for a talented Freelancer for Podcast Editing to work remotely on a flexible schedule. As part of our growing digital media team, you will be responsible for editing, mixing, and enhancing podcast audio files to deliver clean, professional-sounding episodes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and detail-oriented audio editor who is passionate about storytelling and has experience in post-production for podcasts or other audio formats.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit raw podcast audio content, ensuring high-quality sound and smooth transitions.

  • Remove background noise, filler words, long pauses, and mistakes from recorded material.

  • Add intro/outro music, sound effects, and sponsored segments as required.

  • Ensure audio consistency, balance, and mastering for multiple platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, etc.).

  • Collaborate with podcast hosts, producers, and marketing teams to maintain brand tone and style.

  • Deliver edited episodes in the required formats and meet deadlines consistently.

  • Provide suggestions for improving content flow or audio quality when appropriate.

  • Archive, organize, and manage digital audio files efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in podcast/audio editing.

  • Proficiency in using audio editing software such as Adobe Audition, Audacity, Reaper, or similar tools.

  • Strong grasp of audio file formats, noise reduction techniques, EQ, compression, and mastering.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).

  • A strong ear for audio quality, pacing, and narrative clarity.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in audio post-production, podcast editing, or a similar freelance role.

  • Experience with branded podcasts or corporate storytelling is a plus.

Working Hours

  • Flexible schedule – work at your own pace.

  • Must be able to deliver edited files within agreed timelines (generally 48–72 hours turnaround).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with podcast publishing and distribution platforms.

  • Knowledge of podcasting trends, listener preferences, and content optimization.

  • Time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects.
