Online Store Manager – Shopify/WooCommerce Experience Preferred

Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and results-driven Online Store Manager to oversee and grow our e-commerce operations. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing online storefronts—preferably on Shopify and/or WooCommerce—and will be responsible for maintaining product listings, optimizing store performance, enhancing user experience, and driving online sales. This is a remote opportunity perfect for someone passionate about e-commerce and digital growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the online store, including product uploads, inventory checks, pricing updates, and order fulfillment.

  • Ensure the websites user interface is intuitive, visually appealing, and optimized for performance and conversion.

  • Monitor and analyze store metrics (traffic, conversions, bounce rate, etc.) to recommend and implement improvements.

  • Coordinate with marketing teams for promotions, campaigns, and seasonal product strategies.

  • Manage plugins, apps, and integrations to enhance store functionality (e.g., shipping tools, payment gateways, CRM).

  • Handle customer service issues promptly and professionally via email, chat, or phone.

  • Ensure store SEO and metadata are optimized for search engines to boost visibility and ranking.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related technical issues in coordination with developers if needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, E-Commerce, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).

  • Proficient in Shopify and/or WooCommerce with hands-on experience managing storefronts.

  • Strong understanding of digital commerce trends, user experience, and conversion optimization.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and deliver results within deadlines.

  • Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, Canva, Mailchimp, or similar is a plus.

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in managing e-commerce platforms, preferably in a D2C or B2C environment.

  • Experience with third-party apps/integrations, store migrations, and A/B testing is an added advantage.

Working Hours

  • Flexible work schedule with core hours between 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM IST, Monday to Friday.

  • Occasional weekend availability may be required during promotions or major launches.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of Shopify/WooCommerce ecosystem, theme customization, and basic troubleshooting.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to inform strategy.

  • Eye for design and layout with an understanding of mobile-first and responsive design principles.
